Life Transitions

There are plenty of times when you might wish to gather friends and family around you, adding a touch of ceremony to an event or party. If you’re having a significant birthday, retiring, leaving a well-loved family home or arriving in a new one, reaching adulthood or transitioning, chat to me about adding ceremonial elements into the event. I’ll work with you to add finesse and meaning to the day.

One of the most exciting events is the arrival of a new baby - so read on …

Welcome to the world!

A newborn baby is miraculous - so let me help you mark and remember this important time.

Many families like to celebrate the arrival of a new baby with a naming ceremony. This occasion marks the birth of the baby, welcomes them into the family, whānau and community, and acknowledges why the name has been chosen. Family and friends can pay tribute to the newborn, infant or toddler with gifts, songs or poetry. It can be solemn and serene, or fun and funky - you choose!

This is a great alternative to a christening if you prefer a ceremony that’s not religious, and you can add personal touches to make the event special for everyone involved. I’m always keen to bring my camera to these events, so left me know if you’d like photos of baby too!
